From the Kitchen Center for Video, Music and Dance in New York City, to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and Dreamworks, SKG, I have been able to parlay studying History of Art at The Ohio State University into a meaningful career. Working with Blue Chip artists – Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Robert Morris in New York, and then spending over a decade at Art Center recruiting and teaching emerging artists, defines a specific skill set, which is being put to great use in ArtRep-DG.com.
Training Docents on Contemporary Art at MOCA, teaching classes at Art Center and then in conjunction with the exhibition, What Modern Was at LACMA, and curating an exhibition in Scottsdale, “At Home with Ozzie and Harriet: Mid Century Design, fleshes out the art historical training.
Recruiting for Art Center College of Design, Klasky Csupo and Dreamworks emphasized my ability to search for and support artists to find significant art careers.
So here we are. Combining the two and surging ahead in the new world in which we find ourselves. Selling art online. Reaching out through social media. Instead of bricks and mortar, an internet presence conceivably worldwide.
