Jane E. Goldman - Prints

Jane E. Goldman is a painter of light, and a guru of color. The prints are complex, and labor intensive as she layers color over color. She works in watercolor, oil, intaglio, lithography, relief screen-print and terrazzo. The color palette and the complicated laying on of color on the prints is masterful.

Her work is described as “lyrical realism” which is based on a combination of free association and direct observation.

The Audubon Series are examples of memories and images of the twelve months.

She lives in Massachusetts, and is interested in the natural world. Her prints of the Audubon months are examples of sensational plays of light and nature.

While Jane prints with Stewart & Stewart, she is also the co-owner/director of Mixit Print Studio in Somerville, Massachusetts. She has taught at Massachusetts College of Art, UCLA, Rice University and Hartford Art School.

Jane is one of the best artists of the print medium.

Her collaboration with Stewart& Stewart is magical.

I have been drawn to her work for a long time, and I'm so excited to be able to present these pieces.
